About, Allie Brooks

I’m Allie and I am excited to support you as you prepare for success, not only on the NCLEX, but as a new nurse. My goal is to ensure students understand and can critically think through concepts. I am a firm believer that each student should be treated as a whole person, with consideration given to the cognitive, emotional, and psychological aspects of test-taking.

I graduated from Duke University’s accelerated BSN program and began my nursing career in critical care. After a couple of years in ICU, I went on to pursue my passion in women’s health, working in labor and delivery and outpatient OBGYN. I love providing support and education to patients and families during some of the most tender and vulnerable moments of life.

I booked a few tutoring sessions with Allie, and I am thrilled to have made the right choice to work with someone who took the time to understand my struggles and needs. We worked on questions, and Allie assisted me in breaking down what the questions were asking. She also provided several practice materials on subjects I needed help with. One of the subjects was Cystic Fibrosis. Allie explained to me, in layperson's terms, how this disorder affected patients. I took my NCLEX on Saturday, December 9th, and guess what was on the exam as an NGN bowtie question? Cystic Fibrosis, and I nailed it! For those preparing to take the exam, Archer is an excellent platform for learning and success.

Allie was wonderful she helped me break it down to easily rule out rights and wrongs in a test question. And gave me that little extra confidence in myself that I got this!
